At the heart of our Club lies a vibrant staff of like-minded individuals who share a deep love for the great outdoors and a common goal of preserving its rich heritage. From watersports and camping to fishing and hunting, we are dedicated to exploring all that nature has to offer and safeguarding it for generations to come.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
Our members and their guests can enjoy 2300 acres of private property, with 1,500 acres of water that adds up to nearly 4 square miles and 7 miles of shoreline. Our property is exclusively accessible to our members as there is no other private or public access available. We provide private memberships for water skiing and camping during the summer months from April to Labor Day. In the winter months from September to March, we offer memberships for waterfowl and upland bird hunting. If you're interested in either summer watersports and camping or seasonal hunting memberships, we have an exceptional natural resource to cater to your interests. Heritage Sporting Club is distinct from any other club in Colorado, and we welcome you to experience it for yourself.

MEET THE TEAM!
President
DEREK SOWELL
Grew up in Texas, where he developed a love for outdoor adventure. Starting his first company at 13, he has been a lifelong entrepreneur. His experience includes real estate development, product development and design, business consulting, strategy, eminence, sales, and global ERP implementations in the oil and gas, A&D, real estate, and life sciences industries.

Derek graduated with honors in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He also was selected and graduated from the distinguished Euro Nato Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT) program. He continues to serve his country honorably as an officer in the US Air Force Reserve. He has also served as a firefighter and EMT. He is a certified dive master and skydiver, and his passions include rock climbing, flying, diving, traveling, and all adventure sports. Heritage Sporting Club is a dream to turn his passion into a profession and to spread his love of the outdoors to future generations.
DANIEL GORE
Club Manager
Daniel Gore is a Colorado native and grew up irrigating fields with the very water he now manages for recreation. Growing up hunting, fishing, building jeeps for off-roading, and boating are some of his favorite childhood memories; he continues that tradition with his kids and the hounds every chance he gets.
He spent the last couple of decades devoting his life to the pursuit of agricultural perfection. With education and training in Automotive and Diesel repair, Natural Resources, Forestry, and Wildlife Studies as well as a background and long family history in agriculture, concrete, and construction he is a genuine Jack of all trades. He joined the Heritage team to help fix what needs fixing and help build the future. In a day and age where youth are tied to screens and computers, his goal is to preserve an outdoor heritage and provide recreation and connections to natural places just like he had growing up.
AMBER SCHRODER
Assistant Manager
Amber grew up in the metro Denver area and relocated to LaSalle in June of 2022 - this is when her admiration for the club began. She achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and continued her professional development in deriving bathymetric surfaces from satellite imagery. She spent years reviewing waterbodies in 2D and jumped at the opportunity to join the Heritage team on Milton Reservoir.

Despite her boring professional background, Amber enjoys boating, camping, fishing, and all other activities that come with warmer weather. She strives to give her two sons the same great lifestyle.
Amber looks forward to utilizing her professional and recreational experiences alongside learning new skills to make sure that our members feel valued and our clubs continue to improve.
